Kings land Wendell Lewis, ex Rajawali

Wendell Lewis

New Taipei Kings (PLeague+) signed 34-year-old American center Wendell Lewis, who stands at 203cm and played college basketball at Alabama State. Lewis most recently played for Rajawali in the Indonesian Kobatama league, where he put up impressive stats in 12 games: 14.7 points per game, 8.3 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game, 1.4 steals per game, and 1.2 blocks per game this season.
He is a very experienced player, having played professionally in twelve different countries on four different continents thanks to pro basketball. He has experience in European, Asian, Latin American, and North American leagues, having played in Bulgaria (Chernomorets), Georgia (Kavkasia and Vera), Israel (Elitzur Ironi Ashkelon), Italy (Ravenna), Japan (Broncos and Hachioji Trains), Lebanon (Louaize), Mexico (Halcones de Ciudad Obregon), Portugal (Benfica), Bolivia (Universidad Autonoma Gabriel Rene Moreno and Santa Cruz), Dominican Republic (Caneros), and Taiwan (Steelers).
He won the Portuguese League championship title in 2022 and was voted to Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese PLeague+ Honorable Mention in 2023.
He graduated from Alabama State in 2015 and it's his ninth season in pro basketball. He also played for Mississippi State University for 5 years.
