The Charlotte Hornets have signed 25-year-old, dual-passport holder Indonesian 6-11 center Marques Bolden, who played college basketball at Duke. Bolden began the season with the Milwaukee Bucks but did not score in two NBA games and only grabbed 2 rebounds.
He has never been drafted by the NBA.
He represented the USA at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia two years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 4 games: Score-2 (21.8 ppg), 11.3 rpg, Blocks-1 (2.8 bpg), FGP: 57.8%, 3PT: 43.8%, FT: 87.5%.
He has played for 5 other teams: Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz, SLC Stars, Cleveland Charge, and Washington Wizards.
His team was the regular season runner-up in the ACC in 2018, and he received the Dallas Morning News Player of the Year award in 2016 during high school.
He graduated from Duke University in 2019 and it's his fifth season in pro basketball.
