IBL Round 43: Pacific Caesar try to escape the last position defeating Evos Bogor

Bottom-ranked Pacific Caesar managed to get a fourth victory on Wednesday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked Evos Bogor in Surabaya 67-54. It was a great evening for British center Morakinyo Williams (209-1988, college: Citadel) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Muhammad Ariezky (185-1997) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Andre Jackson (199-1994, college: Bowie St., agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Evos Bogor's coach Andre Yuwadi rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Pacific Caesar (4-21) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Satya Wacana. Evos Bogor lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Pacific Caesar is looking forward to face league's second-placed Pelita Jaya in Jakarta in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Evos Bogor will have a break next round.
IBL top team - Satria Muda (23-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Bima Perkasa (16-9) in Jakarta 71-66. It was a quality performance for the former international point guard Widyanta-Putra Teja (180-1997) who led the winners and scored 11 points and 4 assists. Elijah Foster accounted for 7 points and 5 rebounds. American Cameron Coleman (198-1992, college: York, NE, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for Bima Perkasa in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Satria Muda have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-1 record. Bima Perkasa at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Satria Muda's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Jakarta to the arena .
A very close game took place in Pontianak between Bumi Borneo and Tangerang. Seventh ranked Bumi Borneo (13-11) got a very close home victory over 9th ranked Tangerang (10-14). Bumi Borneo managed to escape with a 3-point win 71-68 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tangerang. Randy Bell fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Anthony Allen produced 9 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Bumi Borneo maintains seventh place with 13-11 record. Loser Tangerang keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Bumi Borneo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tangerang will play against Hangtuah (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
