Indonesia outscored Vietnam 67-62 in Southeast Asian Games opener. They grabbed a 15-12 lead and had a 3-point advantage at the halftime. Vietnam replied with a 25-21 rally in the third quarter, whilst Indonesia needed a 15-9 rally to seal the win in the opener.
Kim Pierre-Louis (183-F/C-1993, college: UMass, agency: Areus Sports) top-scored for the winners with 19 points, whilst Peyton Alexis netted 11. Thao Truong replied with 21 points in defeat.
