Brandone Francis' triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

Dominican Rep. Brandone Francis (194-SF-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Prawira and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 35.
The 28-year old recorded a triple-double of 22 points adding also thirteen rebounds and twelve assists, while his team outclassed Evos Bogor (#14, 5-14) with 34-point margin 84-50. Prawira is placed at 2nd position in Indonesian IBL. They are still close to the very top. Prawira would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 16-2 record. Francis turned to be Prawira's top player in his first season with the team. Texas Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Francis is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.8ppg. Francis is in league's top in and averages solid 61.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Shavar Newkirk (179-PG-1996) of NSH. Newkirk impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as NSH was edged by the higher-ranked Bima Perkasa (#5, 13-6) 74-72. NSH is still in a red zone at 13th spot in the standings. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories NSH managed to get this year. Newkirk is a newcomer at NSH and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.7ppg (#9). He also registered 6.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Ronnie Boyce III (191-G-1995, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of Hangtuah (#10). Boyce III scored 24 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Hangtuah, leading his team to a 66-64 win against the lower-ranked Satya Wacana (#16, 2-17). The chances of Hangtuah not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 12 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Boyce III could try to bring Hangtuah's a little bit higher in the standings. Boyce III has a very solid season. In 11 games in Indonesia he scored 23.9ppg. He also has 10.5rpg and 1.3bpg.
