Bali Utd. - Indonesia P. 73-78 No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Indonesia P. (9-10) beat 10th ranked Bali Utd. (7-12) in Denpasar 78-73. Indonesia P. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bali Utd.'s 32. Indonesia P. forced 20 Bali Utd. turnovers. Bali Utd. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Dame Diagne (197-2005) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and guard Julian Chalias (188-2002) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Indonesia P. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Jay Bowie (196-1992, college: Marist, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international Sandy Kurniawan (189-1986) scored 17 points. Bali Utd.'s coach Anthony Garbelotto tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Indonesia P. maintains eighth place with 9-10 record. Bali Utd. at the other side keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. Indonesia P. will play against higher ranked Rans Pik (#6) in Gor Merpati in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bali Utd. will have a break next round. It was a good game for American Tyron Criswell (192-1994, college: Nevada) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Jamaican-American center Anthony Allen (210-1992, college: OK State) contributed with 7 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ronnie Boyce III (191-1995, college: USF, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import center Scott Sill (206-1992, college: Delaware St.) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Hangtuah. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tangerang moved-up to twelfth place. Hangtuah at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest. Guests from Bandung outscored Pacific Caesar 88-63. They outrebounded Pacific Caesar 41-26 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Prawira players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Pacific Caesar's players. American center Jarred Shaw (211-1990, college: Utah St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international Indra Muhammad (189-1994) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was British center Morakinyo Williams (209-1988, college: Citadel) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and American power forward Chris Barnes (205-1988, college: Georgia) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prawira have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Pelita Jaya. Pacific Caesar lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Satya Wacana. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Satya Wacana's players. American Anthony Johnson (203-1988, college: Fairfield) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 21 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Xaverius Prawiro (181-1986) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Shemar Johnson (204-1996, college: Stillman) with 23 points and 4 steals and point guard Febrianus Khiandio (181-1999) scored 17 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dewa United maintains fourth place with 14-4 record. Satya Wacana at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. They share it with Pacific Caesar. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
