Scott's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

39-year old shooting guard Akeem Scott (180-SG-1983) had a very impressive game in the last round for Rans Pik and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat NSH (#12, 5-12) 94-87. Rans Pik is placed at 6th position in Indonesian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Rans Pik will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. In the team's last game Scott had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Rans Pik's top player in his first season with the team. Akeem Scott averages this season 14.8ppg and 5.6rpg. Worth to mention Scott played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Shavar Newkirk (179-PG-1996) of NSH. He is American guard in his first season at NSH. In the last game Newkirk recorded impressive double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as NSH lost that game 87-94 to the higher-ranked Rans Pik (#6, 10-5). Despite lost game NSH moved up to 12th position in the standings. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories NSH managed to get this year. Newkirk is a newcomer at NSH and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Andre Jackson (199-F-1994, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of Evos Bogor (#13). Jackson scored 24 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Evos Bogor, leading his team to a 67-58 win against the higher-ranked Bima Perkasa (#5, 11-5). Evos Bogor can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Jackson has a very solid season. In 17 games in Indonesia he scored 13.7ppg.
