IBL Round 25: Rans Pik defeat Bumi Borneo in the closest game of the week

The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 25 in the IBL took place in Gor Merpati. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Bumi Borneo (8-6) to sixth ranked Rans Pik (9-3) 62-59 in the game for the sixth place. Rans Pik held Bumi Borneo to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 29.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Rans Pik forced 20 Bumi Borneo turnovers. Jamaican-American Akeem Scott (180-1983, college: High Point) stepped up and scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and center Agus Salim (197-1997) chipped in 7 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Randy Bell (193-1998, college: Dalton St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rans Pik have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 9-3 record. Bumi Borneo at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
15th ranked Pacific Caesar (2-11) was outscored at home by fifth ranked Prawira (10-2) with the biggest margin this round 87-54. Dominican Brandone Francis (194-1994, college: Texas Tech) nailed 29 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Jarred Shaw accounted for 19 points and 11 rebounds. Aven Pratama (-2004) came up with 12 points and 6 rebounds for Pacific Caesar in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prawira moved-up to fourth place. Pacific Caesar lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. Prawira will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pacific Caesar will play on the road against WBS (#9) in Jakarta and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last two games of round 25 NSH lost to Bima Perkasa on the opponent's court 68-75. Bali Utd. unfortunately lost to Pelita Jaya in a home game 76-86.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 29 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals by Andakara Dhyaksa of Pelita Jaya.

Bima Perkasa - NSH 75-68

Very expected game in Sakti where 11th ranked NSH (4-9) was defeated by fifth ranked Bima Perkasa (10-3) 75-68. American Cameron Coleman (198-1992, college: York, NE, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and Ikram Fadhil (187-1998) accounted for 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Shavar Newkirk (179-1996, college: St.Joseph's) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Hengki Infandi (180-1994) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for NSH in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bima Perkasa maintains fifth place with 10-3 record. NSH at the other side keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Hangtuah. Bima Perkasa will play against bottom-ranked Satya Wacana (#16) in Salatiga in the next round which should be an easy win for them. NSH will have a break next round.

Aven Pratama (-2004) came up with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Chris Barnes (205-1988, college: Georgia) added 14 points respectively for Pacific Caesar in the defeat. The former international point guard Andakara Dhyaksa (173-1992) nailed 29 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and American swingman Dominique Sutton (193-1986, college: NCCU) accounted for 18 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-1987, college: USF) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman Jay Bowie (196-1992, college: Marist, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) added 20 points respectively for Bali Utd. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pelita Jaya have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place.
