Indonesian IBL round 19 best performance: Morakinyo Williams (by Hoops Agents)- February 17, 2023
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 24 rebounds, while his team edged out Satya Wacana (#16, 1-11) 65-61. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Pacific Caesar is placed at 14th position in Indonesian IBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 8 games and recorded just two victories. Williams just recently signed at Pacific Caesar, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former The Citadel star has very solid stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (6th best: 20.3ppg) and averages impressive 1.6bpg and 50.7% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was young Dominican Rep. Brandone Francis (194-SF-1994) of league's second-best Prawira. Francis had a very good evening with 37 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Prawira lost that game 83-88 to league's leader Satria Muda (#1, 11-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Prawira still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 2nd loss this season, while they won 8 other games. Francis is a newcomer at Prawira, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.6ppg (#1). He also registered 7.6 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Andre Jackson (199-F-1994, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of Evos Bogor (#15). Jackson scored 23 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Jackson's great performance Evos Bogor lost 53-71 to the higher-ranked Pelita Jaya (#4, 8-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Evos Bogor can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Jackson has a very solid season. In 11 games in Indonesia he scored 13.2ppg. Other top performing players last week: 4. Elijah Foster (197-F-1996) of Satria Muda - 14 points and 8 rebounds 5. Febrianus Khiandio (181-PG-1999) of Satya Wacana - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists 6. Vincent Sanjaya (193-C-1997) of NSH - 9 points and 10 rebounds 7. Andakara Dhyaksa (173-PG-1992) of Pelita Jaya - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists 8. Antoni Erga (179-G-2000) of Satria Muda - 22 points and 6 rebounds 9. Anthony Allen (210-C-1992) of Tangerang - 5 points and 12 rebounds 10. Shemar Johnson (204-F-1996) of Satya Wacana - 14 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
