Best players of Indonesian IBL round 5- January 20, 2023
The 31-year old guard had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Dewa United in his team's victory, helping them to beat Hangtuah (#9, 1-2) 89-80. Dewa United is placed at 3rd position in Indonesian IBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Dewa United already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Galloway had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Dewa United's top player in his first season with the team. La Salle University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Galloway is in league's top in points (5th best: 21.0ppg), assists (3rd best: 4.7apg) and averages solid 42.1% from behind 3-point line. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-F-1987) of Bali Utd.. Lowhorn impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds. Of course Bali Utd. cruised to a 79-67 relatively comfortable win over NSH (#14, 0-3). This victory allowed Bali Utd. to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 2-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Lowhorn is a newcomer at Bali Utd. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. The third best performed player last round was American Anthony Beane (188-G-1994, agency: Pensack Sports) of Indonesia P. (#10). Beane scored 29 points and passed four assists. He was a key player of Indonesia P., leading his team to a 87-80 win against the higher-ranked WBS (#7, 2-1). The chances of Indonesia P. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Beane could try to bring Indonesia P.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Beane has individually a great season in Indonesia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.5ppg (2nd best). Other top performing players last week: 4.
