Best players of Indonesian IBL round 17- March 28, 2022
The 28-year old center had a double-double of 30 points and ten rebounds, while his team crushed Dewa United (#4, 12-8) with 18-point margin 77-59. Prawira maintains the 2nd position in their group in Indonesian IBL. They are still close to the very top. Prawira would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 17-4 record. Spencer just recently signed at Prawira, being already a very valuable addition to the team. California Baptist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Spencer is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.3rpg). The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Austin Mofunanya (198-C-1994, agency: SDJ Sports) of Bumi Borneo. Mofunanya impressed basketball fans with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Bumi Borneo lost that game 67-92 to the higher-ranked Satria Muda (#1, 18-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Red. Bumi Borneo still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-12 record. Mofunanya is one of the most experienced players at Bumi Borneo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. The third best performed player last round was Dame Diagne (197-PF) of Indonesia P. (#5). Diagne scored 23 points and grabbed nineteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Diagne's great performance Indonesia P. lost 75-77 to the higher-ranked WBS (#2, 12-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Indonesia P. not to end season at such low position in Red, however are less than slim as they have already lost 13 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Diagne could try to bring Indonesia P.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Diagne has individually a great season in Indonesia. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.3rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 63.5%. Other top performing players last week: 4. Richard Ross (198-SF-1992) of Tangerang - 27 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists 5. Elijah Foster (203-F-1996) of Satria Muda - 22 points and 6 rebounds 6. Dior Lowhorn (201-F-1987) of Pelita Jaya - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists 7. Shavar Newkirk (183-PG-1996) of NSH - 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists 8. Kendal Yancy (191-G-1994) of Bali Utd. - 22 points and 8 rebounds 9. Tyron Criswell (193-PF) of Pacific Caesar - 22 points and 9 rebounds 10. Aldy Rachman (192-SG-2000) of Indonesia P. - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
