The Regular Season in IBL just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Pelita Jaya defeated Satria Muda in Jakarta 69-65. Strangely Satria Muda outrebounded Pelita Jaya 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pelita Jaya made 7 blocks. The former international Muhammad Wicaksono (189-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-87, college: USF) chipped in 12 points. At the losing side American forward Elijah Foster (203-96, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Pacific Caesar recorded a loss in Surabaya. Hosts were defeated by Prawira 71-54. American center Taj Spencer (200-93, college: CBU) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Yudha Saputera accounted for 14 points. Gregorio Wibowo (182-95) came up with 12 points for Pacific Caesar in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Prawira will play against WBS in Jakarta in the next round. Pacific Caesar will play against Rans Pik to get more than just one victory in their record.
Quite upsetting was Satya Wacana's home defeat in a game versus Hangtuah 75-68. Anton Waters fired 24 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Tyree Robinson produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hangtuah will meet at home Bima Perkasa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Satya Wacana will play against Dewa United and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: winless Bumi Borneo lost to NSH on the opponent's court 60-68. WBS managed to outperform Rans Pik in a home game 75-57. Bali Utd. managed to beat Indonesia P. on the road 62-55. Winless Bumi Borneo lost to undefeated Pelita Jaya on its own court 62-81. NSH was smashed by Satria Muda in Jakarta 46-90.



Pacific Caesar - Prawira 54-71

Pacific Caesar recorded a loss in Surabaya. Hosts were defeated by Prawira 71-54. Prawira outrebounded Pacific Caesar 52-30 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Taj Spencer (200-93, college: CBU) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Yudha Saputera (176-98) accounted for 14 points. Gregorio Wibowo (182-95) came up with 12 points and American Tyron Criswell (193, college: Nevada, agency: ASEC) added 13 points respectively for Pacific Caesar in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Prawira will play against WBS in Jakarta in the next round. NSH used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from 68-60 on Saturday night. NSH outrebounded Bumi Borneo 44-27 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Shavar Newkirk (183-96, college: St.Joseph's) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Ruslan Ruslan (197-89) chipped in 4 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. American-Nigerian center Austin Mofunanya (198-94, college: Pace, agency: SDJ Sports) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and Raymond Shariputra (181-91) added 9 points respectively for lost side. There was a minor upset in Jakarta where NSH was outplayed by Satria Muda 90-46 on Sunday. Satria Muda dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to NSH's 28. They outrebounded NSH 50-21 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Satria Muda looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by NSH's players. American forward Elijah Foster (203-96, college: Nevada) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import guard William Tinsley (198-97, college: Illinois St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds.
