IBL Round 15: Prawira beat WBS by three after a very close game

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 15 in the IBL took place in Jakarta. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed WBS (8-8) to third ranked Prawira (10-6) 69-66 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of WBS. It was a good game for the former international Abraham Grahita (180-95) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international Diftha Pratama (186-89) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International point guard Widyanta-Putra Teja (182-97) answered with 13 points and 5 assists for WBS. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Prawira moved-up to second place, which they share with Indonesia P. and Louvre S. Newly promoted WBS keeps the fourth position with eight games lost.
An interesting game for Satria Muda (14-2) which played road game in Denpasar against second-best Bali Utd. (9-7). First ranked Satria Muda managed to get a 4-point victory 59-55. It was a great evening for the former international forward Laurentius Oei (195-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Arki Wisnu helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Satria Muda's coach Milos Pejic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international Yerikho Tuasela (178-94) with 19 points. Satria Muda have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-2 record. Newly promoted Bali Utd. dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Bima Perkasa.
An interesting game for Louvre S. (10-6) which played road game in Jakarta against second-best Indonesia P. (10-6). Third ranked Louvre S. managed to get a 6-point victory 74-68. It was an exceptional evening for Jamarr Johnson who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Kelvin Sanjaya came up with 8 points and 14 rebounds for Indonesia P. in the defeat. Indonesia P.'s coach Youbel Sondakh rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Louvre S. moved-up to second place, which they share with Prawira and Indonesia P.
The game between fourth ranked Bima Perkasa (9-7) and 6th ranked Pacific Caesar (1-15) in Sakti ended with biggest points difference. Bima Perkasa outscored guests from Surabaya 71-45. The best player for the winners was Frida Susanto who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bima Perkasa moved-up to third place, which they share with Bali Utd. Pacific Caesar lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost.

The most impressive performance of 15th round was 11 points and 6 rebounds by Yonatan Yonatan of Pacific Caesar.



Bali Utd. - Satria Muda 55-59

An interesting game for Satria Muda (14-2) which played road game in Denpasar against second-best Bali Utd. (9-7). First ranked Satria Muda managed to get a 4-point victory 59-55. Satria Muda had a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international forward Laurentius Oei (195-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The former international Arki Wisnu (187-88) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Satria Muda's coach Milos Pejic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international Yerikho Tuasela (178-94) with 19 points and the former international Ponsianus Indrawan (191-85) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. An interesting game for Louvre S. (10-6) which played road game in Jakarta against second-best Indonesia P. (10-6). Third ranked Louvre S. managed to get a 6-point victory 74-68. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Jamarr Johnson (193-88, college: Widener) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Kevin Poetiray (186-95) accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Louvre S. players scored in double figures. The former international center Kelvin Sanjaya (199-0) came up with 8 points and 14 rebounds and Ali Alhadar (195-0) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Indonesia P. in the defeat. Indonesia P.'s coach Youbel Sondakh rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Louvre S. moved-up to second place, which they share with Prawira and Indonesia P.

Bima Perkasa - Pacific Caesar 71-45

The game between fourth ranked Bima Perkasa (9-7) and 6th ranked Pacific Caesar (1-15) in Sakti ended with biggest points difference. Bima Perkasa outscored guests from Surabaya 71-45. Bima Perkasa outrebounded Pacific Caesar 47-27 including a 14-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Frida Susanto (195-86) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Center Restu Purnomo (193-93) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Yonatan Yonatan who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and forward Ramdhan Yuwana (201-98) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bima Perkasa moved-up to third place, which they share with Bali Utd. Pacific Caesar lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost.
