IBL Round 4 of Regular Season

There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of IBL and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

First defeat of league's leader Louvre S. (2-1) against fifth ranked Satria Muda (2-1) 69-61 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Louvre S.. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Gary Jacobs (188-92, college: Cent.Washington) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 assists. The former international Juan Kokodiputra (194-95) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Savon Goodman (198, college: Shaw) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds for Louvre S.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Satria Muda moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Louvre S. Louvre S. will play next round against strong Indonesia P. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Satria Muda will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
The game in Jakarta was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Prawira (1-2) played at the court of seventh ranked NSH (2-1). NSH managed to secure a 5-point victory 67-62. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Dashaun Wiggins who added 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Dimitri Cook (188, college: SUNO) responded with 25 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. NSH moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Prawira at the other side dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. NSH will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Prawira will play at home against Satya Wacana (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between third ranked Indonesia P. (2-1) and 9th ranked Hang Tuah (1-3) in Jakarta on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Indonesia P. outscored guests from Pandang 85-65. The winners were led by Lester Prosper who scored that evening 12 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by Darnell Martin did not help to save the game for Hang Tuah. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Indonesia P. moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hang Tuah lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with three games lost. Indonesia P. will meet Louvre S. (#4) in the next round. Hang Tuah will play against Bima Perkasa (#6) and hope to win that game.



NSH - Prawira 67-62

The game in Jakarta was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Prawira (1-2) played at the court of seventh ranked NSH (2-1). NSH managed to secure a 5-point victory 67-62. At the losing side American guard Dimitri Cook (188, college: SUNO) responded with 25 points and 5 assists and American-Jamaican power forward David Samuels (203-91, college: LBSU) scored 7 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. NSH moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Prawira at the other side dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. NSH will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Prawira will play at home against Satya Wacana (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Indonesia P. - Hang Tuah 85-65

The game between third ranked Indonesia P. (2-1) and 9th ranked Hang Tuah (1-3) in Jakarta on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Indonesia P. outscored guests from Pandang 85-65. Indonesia P. forced 20 Hang Tuah turnovers. The winners were led by British V.Islands center Lester Prosper (210-88, college: Old Westbury) who scored that evening 12 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Andakara Dhyaksa (173-92) supported him with 10 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by American Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) did not help to save the game for Hang Tuah. His fellow American import swingman Charles Jackson (196-96, college: UAPB) added 13 points and 6 assists for lost side. Five Indonesia P. and four Hang Tuah players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Indonesia P. moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hang Tuah lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with three games lost. Indonesia P. will meet Louvre S. (#4) in the next round. Hang Tuah will play against Bima Perkasa (#6) and hope to win that game.
