IBL Round 3: Satria Muda lose to Bima Perkasa

It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in IBL, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Satria Muda (1-1) recorded a loss in Jakarta on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Bima Perkasa (1-1) 66-58. Bima Perkasa forced 24 Satria Muda turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard David Seagers (188-88, college: Dowling) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Devin Gilligan (196-93, college: S.New Hampshire) chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Gary Jacobs (188-92, college: Cent.Washington) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bima Perkasa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Satria Muda will play at home against Louvre S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was played in Jakarta between Pelita Jaya and Indonesia P. where Pelita Jaya (2-0) beat Indonesia P. (1-1) on the road 73-64. It was a good game for American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-87, college: USF) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Govinda Saputra contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. British V.Islands center Lester Prosper (210-88, college: Old Westbury) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds for Indonesia P.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pelita Jaya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Indonesia P. will play at home against Hang Tuah to get more than just one victory in their record.
A very close game took place in Salatiga (derby !!!) between Pacific Caesar and Satya Wacana. Pacific Caesar (1-1) got a very close victory on the road over Satya Wacana (0-3). Pacific Caesar managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 on Sunday evening. It was a great evening for Luis Jacobo who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Chris Sterling with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Bandung. Local Prawira (1-1) outscored Hang Tuah (1-2) 92-69. It was a quality performance for David Samuels who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prawira's next round opponent will be NSH (#7) in Jakarta. Hang Tuah will play on the road against Indonesia P. in Jakarta and hope to win that game.

Another exciting game was played in Jakarta between Pelita Jaya and Indonesia P. where Pelita Jaya (2-0) beat Indonesia P. (1-1) on the road 73-64. They outrebounded Indonesia P. 45-32 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-87, college: USF) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Govinda Saputra (194-96) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. British V.Islands center Lester Prosper (210-88, college: Old Westbury) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American Brandon Jawato (193-93, college: Hawaii) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Indonesia P.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. A very close game took place in Salatiga (derby !!!) between Pacific Caesar and Satya Wacana. Pacific Caesar (1-1) got a very close victory on the road over Satya Wacana (0-3). Pacific Caesar managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 on Sunday evening. It was a great evening for American-Dominican swingman Luis Jacobo (196-91, college: PFW) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Filipino guard Taylor Statham (198-92, college: CS San Bernar.) helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Pacific Caesar players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Chris Sterling (196-93, college: Ariz.Christian) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Shane Heyward (200-92, college: Columbus St.) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Prawira - Hang Tuah 92-69

The game with biggest result difference took place in Bandung. Local Prawira (1-1) outscored Hang Tuah (1-2) 92-69. They outrebounded Hang Tuah 51-38 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Prawira players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Hang Tuah's players. It was a quality performance for American-Jamaican power forward David Samuels (203-91, college: LBSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American guard William Tinsley (198-97, college: Illinois St.) accounted for 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American LaQuavius Cotton (198-92, college: Delta St.) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import swingman Charles Jackson (196-96, college: UAPB) added 16 points respectively for Hang Tuah in the defeat. Five Prawira and four Hang Tuah players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prawira's next round opponent will be NSH (#7) in Jakarta. Hang Tuah will play on the road against Indonesia P. in Jakarta and hope to win that game.
