Malaysia are crowned the SEABA champions. They defeated hosting Indonesia in the Final on Thursday. Yee Yao Fook (174-F-93) nailed 22 points to pace the winners.
Malaysia ensured a strong start. They held the hosts to just 8 points in the opening stanza gaining a 7-point lead. Malaysia extended the margin at 8-point mark at the interval 33:25. Indonesia pulled closer in the third term. The hosts trailed by 5 points heading into the fourth term. But Malaysia went on a 17:10 run in the final period and sealed the winning outcome. Eugene Ting (180-C-92) had 12 points, while Nur Izzati Yaakob (163-89) posted 11 points for the winners. Yuni Anggraeni (175-F-84) responded with 27 points and 10 boards for Indonesia. Cristaline chipped in 12 points in the defeat.
