Surabaya Fever is crowned the new WNBL champion. They beat Sahabat Semarang in the Grand Final tonight. Marlina Herawan (163-PG-83) stepped up with 15 points to pace the winners.
The Fever jumped to a 16:12 lead after the opening quarter. They went on a strong 22:9 run in the second frame to open a 17-point halftime lead. The Fever dominated in the third term. They cleared off to a 27-point distance heading into the fourth quarter. Sahabat went on a 24:9 run in the final frame but just sweetened the pill at the end. Gabriel Sophia (180-C-91) accounted for 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Henny Sutjiono (166-PG-94) added 10 points and 15 rebounds in the win. Nathasa Christalin (170-F-93) responded with 13 points for Sahabat. Yuni Anggraeni (175-F-84) and Sinta Ramadhani (180-C-91) tossed in 10 points each in the loss.
