KOCHI: High-octane drama and edge-of-the-seat action unfolded on the second day of the inaugural Basketball League Kerala (BLK) Season 1, as Kochi Stallions (U-14) boys and Calicut Warriors girls extended their unbeaten runs with thrilling, down-to-the-wire victories. The ongoing six-team round-robin tournament, which will decide the semifinalists, is being held at the Regional Sports Centre Indoor Stadium in Kochi. Jointly organized by Starting Five Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. and ABC Basketball Development League, in association with the Kerala Basketball Association (KBA), the groundbreaking youth development initiative is already delivering top-tier grassroots competition.

The day set a breathless tone from the very first tip-off in the Under-19 Girls' category, where Calicut Warriors survived a furious late charge from Alappuzha Dolphins to snatch a nail-biting 56–54 victory. The drama intensified in the Under-14 Boys' division as Calicut Warriors scraped past Kottayam Bisons 47–45 in an absolute thriller. Earlier in the same division, Kochi Stallions held their nerve in crunch time to hold off a stubborn Thrissur Tuskers 41–37, ensuring their second straight win. In other action, Calicut Warriors cruised past Trivandrum Capitals 51–38 in the Under-14 Girls' section, while Kottayam Bisons logged a hard-fought 62–55 win over Alappuzha Dolphins in the Under-19 Boys' division. Thrissur Tuskers capped off the evening by dominating Kottayam Bisons 60–34 in their Under-14 Girls' match.
