The Tamil Nadu men's basketball team will not be taking part in the FIBA West Asia Super League Final 8, which commenced on Saturday in Beirut (Lebanon), according to a report in the FIBA website.

According to the report, the decision was taken due to the developing situation between India and Pakistan.

All scheduled games involving Tamil Nadu have been cancelled.

As a result, Group-B of the competition will feature only three teams: Shabab Al Ahli of UAE, Iranian club Tabiat and Al Qadsia of Kuwait.
