The 13th All-India Major Jagpal Memorial Junior Inter-Public School Basketball Tournament for Boys and Girls kick-started at Pinegrove School, Dharampur, on Wednesday evening.

Munish Sharma, General Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Basketball Association and Executive Member of the Basketball Federation of India (BFI), and BFI Vice-President Ajay Kumar Sud were among those present at the event.

Nine schools from across India — including Mayo College, Daly College and the Welhams — converged at the Wg Cdr SS Gyani Memorial Sports Centre. The host school extended a warm welcome, followed by an oath-taking ceremony, led by sports prefect Ashika Sharma.
