American Forward James Montgomery (203-F-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for Delhi Dribblers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Punjab W. (#3, 5-4) 90-83. Thanks to this victory Dribblers moved-up to the 6th position in Indian INBL. Delhi is bottom ranked team in the standings. They need more victories to leave last spot and improve bad 4-6 record. Montgomery just recently signed at Dribblers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Barry University star has very solid stats this year. Montgomery is in league's top in points (7th best: 16.5ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.4rpg), assists (9th best: 3.8apg) and averages impressive 57.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Australian Tad Dufelmeier (183-PG-1996) of league's second-best Chennai Heat. Dufelmeier had a very good evening with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Heat to another comfortable win 86-69 over slightly lower-ranked Mumbai T. (#4, 4-5) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Chennai H. consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 5-4 record is not bad at all. Dufelmeier is one of the most experienced players at Chennai H. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.6ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 6.8rpg and 7.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Australian swingman Joshua Duach (197-F/G-2003) of league's top team Gujarat Stallions. Duach scored 29 points and passed 6 assists. Despite Duach's great performance the Stallions lost 73-74 to #3 ranked Punjab W.. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Gujarat S. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Duach has a great season in India. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.2ppg (8th best).
