It was a key game for the top position in the league. Australian point guard Tad Dufelmeier (183-1996, college: CUI) scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Australian forward Malok Majak (196-2000) chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was New Zealand-Australian forward Elijah Puna (201-2000) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Gujarat S. Mumbai T. at the other side dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with Delhi. There is only one round left in the Regular Season. strong Punjab W. trying to get back on the winning streak. Chennai H. will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Hyderabad F. at home.

Gujarat S. - Punjab W. 73-74

Rather expected game in Gujarat where 5th ranked Stallions (5-4) were edged by second ranked Warriors (4-4) 74-73 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was Australian guard Boston Mazlin (189-2002) who scored 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American power forward Stokley Chaffee (204-1996, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Warriors players scored in double figures. Warriors' coach Andrew Harms used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Australian swingman Joshua Duach (197-2003, college: Iona) who recorded 29 points and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Australian center Jock Perry (216-1997, college: UC Riverside) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Warriors have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Punjab W. went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Hyderabad F. Loser Stallions still keeps top place with four games lost. They share the position with Chennai H.. Punjab W. will meet at home bottom-ranked Mumbai T. (#6) in the next round. The best player for the winners was American forward James Montgomery (203-2001, college: Barry) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Mark Burkholder (201-1999, college: E.Mennonite, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) chipped in 30 points and 5 rebounds. Burkholder is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Australian point guard Lucas Barker (183-1993, college: Indianapolis) who recorded 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Australian guard Uche Dibiamaka (193-1999, college: St.Edward's) added 20 points respectively. Four Punjab W. players scored in double figures. Warriors' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
