Purchase's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

29-year old Australian forward Jack Purchase (203-F-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for Hyderabad Falcons and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Delhi D. (#6, 3-5) with 19-point margin 92-73. Falcons was forced-out from the top positions in Indian league. Hyderabad F. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Purchase had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Falcons's top player in his first season with the team. University of Hawaii graduate has very impressive stats this year. Purchase is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.0ppg), rebounds (5th best: 8.1rpg), assists (8th best: 3.3apg) and averages solid 1.4bpg,52.8% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Elijah Puna (201-F-2000) of league's second-best Mumbai Titans. He is New Zealand-Australian forward in his first season at Mumbai T.. In the last game Puna recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds. It was enough for Titans to edge slightly lower-ranked Hyderabad F. (#3, 4-4) by 3 points 77-74. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Mumbai T. consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 4-3 record is not bad at all. Puna is a newcomer at Mumbai T. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Hyderabad F.'s star - guard Alex Robinson (185-PG-1995). Robinson showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 12 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Hyderabad Falcons, helping his team with a 92-73 easy win against the lower-ranked Delhi D. (#6, 3-5). Falcons needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Robinson has a great season in India. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (5th best), rebounds with 6.6rpg (7th best) and assists with 9.1apg (best passer).
