Olympic Pre-Qualifiers: India roll over Syria in Damascus

India clinched the first win at the Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament. They upset hosting Syria in Damascus. Pranav Prince (198-G-2003) stepped up with 21 points and 7 assists for the winners.
India erupted for 31 points in the first period to gain a 15-point lead. Syria cut the deficit at 13-point mark at the interval 35-48. India used a 23-18 rally in the third stanza to open an 18-point lead and never looked back en route to the win. Amjyot Gill (203-F-1992) produced 12 points in the victory. Nadeem Issa (185-G-1990) replied with 21 points for Syria.
