Chennai Heat rallied past Bengaluru Kings to conquer NBL title. Chennai H. dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Bengaluru K.'s 16. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Bengaluru K.'s players. Chennai H. brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Point guard Maharaja Kumar (187) nailed 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Baladhaneshwar Poiyamozhi (179-1999) accounted for 18 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Guard Abhishek Gowda (171) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and international forward Pratyanshu Tomar (202-2000) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Bengaluru K. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
