Chennai H. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Delhi D.'s 36. Chennai H. forced 27 Delhi D. turnovers and had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chennai H. made 8 blocks. The former international point guard Baladhaneshwar Poiyamozhi (179-1999) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and point guard Maharaja Kumar (187) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side the former international Harsh Dagar (189-2005) responded with 18 points and 9 assists and the former international center Piyush Meena (208-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. International forward Pratyanshu Tomar (202-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and guard Anil Kumar (185) chipped in 23 points and 5 assists. At the losing side guard Sameer Qureshi (172) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals and guard Mandeep Singh (182) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Bengaluru K. and five Mumbai T. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
