New Zealand overwhelmed India in Day 2 opener at the FIBA Asia Cup. The favorites posted wins in all the quarters of the game for the final 100-47 success.
New Zealand started with a 30-12 surge and never looked behind after. They nailed 34 points in the second frame and added 16-14 and 20-12 respectively in the third and the last stanzas.
Samuel Mennenga (206-F-2001) top-scored for the winners with 21 points and Taine Murray (196-SG-2002) poured in 13. Taylor Britt (187-G-1996, college: Southeast CC) followed them with 12 points as 7 players scored in double digits. Arvind Muthu (187-G-2000) replied with 13 points in defeat and Pranav Prince posted 10.
