Kazakhstan U16- Hong Kong U16 79:52
Kazakhstan open Day 2 with the win over Hong Kong in Level II of the U16 Asia Championship. They needed a 79:52 victory to tie both records at 1-1.
Kazakhstan won the opening tip 12:8 and reached 25:12 lead at the end of the first 10 minutes. Hong Kong reduced to 7 points midway through the second frame, while Kazakhstan took 39:23 at the halftime. The latter continued their dominance in the third period and reached 60:39 after 30 minutes in the court. Kazakhstan won the last stanza 19-13 and celebrated a comfortable win.
Aleksandra Kovalevskaya (170-F/G-97) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and ZUKOVA Luiza notched 11. ABIKEYEVA Elmira and ARZAMASTSEVA Anastassiya delivered 10 each, whilst YARULINA Sabina had 9. CHEUNG Wa Sin produced 16 points in defeat. LUI Shuk Yi poured in 10 and CHOW Tsz Ting put up 5.
