Malaysia celebrated the second win at the Asian Championship in Thailand. They outgunned Hong Kong for 2-1 record in Level II ladder. Yee Yao Fook (174-F-93) had 21 points to pace the winners.
Malaysia earned a 19:11 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the lead throughout the second frame. Malaysia secured a comfortable 40:20 halftime advantage. Hong Kong slowed their opponents down in the third term. They cut the deficit at 17-point mark heading into the fourth frame. But Malaysia responded with a 25:7 rally in the final stanza and sealed the win. Siew Teng Ang (174-F-87) had 15 points, while Beng Fong Goh (165-G-82) had 10 points in the victory. Lam Pik Yi (162-PG-89) replied with 12 points for Hong Kong. Chu Hau Yee (183-C-86) and Lo Hiu Fong (175-PF-89) netted 9 points apiece in the defeat.
