Indonesia celebrated the first win at the Asian Championship. They shot down Hong Kong for 1-1 record in Level II ladder. Jacklien Ibo (178-C-90) posted 14 points and 7 rebounds to lead the winners. Hong Kong slipped at 0-2 record after the loss.
Indonesia set the tone early in the encounter. They used a 19:8 run to clear off early in the game. Indonesia maintained the lead throughout the second frame. They established a 37:24 halftime advantage. Indonesia boosted the margin in the third term. They went on a 21:10 rally in the third quarter and opened a comfortable 24-point cushion before the fourth term. Indonesia never looked back in the final quarter cruising to the win. Sinta Ramdhani (180-C-91) accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds, while Hanum Fasta (165-PG-90) added 12 points in the victory. Yap Yuen Yee (172-PF-83) responded with 11 points for Hong Kong. Lo Hiu Fong (175-PF-89) dropped 9 points in the loss.
