Poonam Chaturvedi (204-C-95) carries India over Hong Kong in the start of Day 3 at the U18 Asia Championship. She erupted with 32 points and 17 rebounds as India beat Hong Kong 76:67. India improved to 3-0 record in Group B, while Hong Kong suffered their first loss and dropped at 2-1 record.
India started with 19-13 lead and led 6 points at the halftime. They needed a 20-16 surge in the second frame to take 57:47 lead at the end of the third period. Hong Kong managed to win the last perid 20-19 and reduced to final 9 points.
Sharanjeet Kaur (165-F-96) collected 16 points and 16 rebounds, while P.S. Jeena (178-F-94) added 8 points and 15 boards. Sneha Rajguru (178-F-94) followed them with 8 points. Wong Ka Yee (172-F-94) erupted with 30 points in the losing effort and Li Tsz Kwan (169-F-95) added 14.
