India rolls over Hong Kong in a key game of Group B

Best two teams of group B faced each other today in FIBA Asia Championship for Women which is in Korea. India celebrated the fourth straight win and clinched the first place in the group even though there is one more day remaining. Hong Kong will need a win over Singapore to take second spot. Geethu Ann Jose (185-C-85) was again unstoppable for the winners. She poured in 27 points and made 14 rebounds. Divya Singh (174-G-82) finished with 18, while Rashmi Channegowda scored 11. Cheung Yuen Shan collected 19 in defeat.

India and Hong Kong came to the game with 3-0 record. India started better and grabbed the lead from the first minutes. Geethu Ann Jose was against the one who ruined the defense of the opponents. With 26:12 India proceed to the second where they increased to 49:29 at the half.
Nothing specific happened in the second half as India dominated in the court. They won the third quarter and enlarge to 71:42 before the last quarter. In the end Hong Kong could reduce the gap but could not stay closer than 20 points.
