Taiwan finished their East Asian Games campaign with victory. They shot down Japan to earn the third position. Huang YingLi (170-G-89) had 22 points for Taiwan. Japan finished second at the tournament.
Taiwan dropped 23 points in the opening quarter and gained a 7-point lead. They maintained the advantage throughout the second quarter. Taiwan registered a 38:31 halftime advantage. They extended the lead in the third period. Taiwan accounted for a 13-point advantage at the final intermission. Japan cut the deficit in the fourth quarter but could not rescue at the end. Tsai Pei-Chen (186-C-84) netted 19 points, while Huang Ping-Jen (178-F-89) had 13 points in the victory. Ramu Tokashiki (191-C/F-91) replied with 23 points and 10 rebounds for Japan. Miyamoto Michiko netted 12 points in the loss.

China claimed the Gold medals at the East Asian Games in Tianjin. Shao Ting (183-F-89) scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to pace the hosts.
China left Hong Kong behind in the starting quarter. They registered a 26:9 lead after the opening frame. China dominated in the second period. The hosts piled up a 46:19 halftime lead. China boosted the gap in the third term. They accumulated a comfortable 64:27 advantage at the final intermission. China held Hong Kong to just 4 points in the fourth term and sealed the winning outcome. Ma XueYa (190-C/F-93) had 13 points, while Li Meng (185-F-95) netted 12 points in the victory. Cheuk Ting replied with 13 points for Hong Kong. Tsz-Ching Wong delivered 5 points in the defeat.
