Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ducks' 38. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Kenneth Lofton Jr (201-2002, college: La Tech) stepped up and scored 18 points for the winners and international Zhenlin Zhang (206-1999, college: Tulane) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. At the losing side the former international center Qi Zhou (217-1996) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Rui Zhao (195-1996) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Four Sharks and five Ducks players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Guangsha Lions players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. American Barry Brown Jr. (190-1996, college: Kansas St.) nailed 46 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winning side and the former international center Jinqiu Hu (211-1997) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Josh Christopher (195-2001, college: Arizona St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Pengyu Lu (197-2001) added 20 points respectively for Leopards in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
