Beijing D. - Guangdong ST 88-73

Ducks made 32-of-41 free shots (78.0 percent) during the game, while Guandong Tigers only scored fifteen points from the stripe. Ducks looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ducks made 7 blocks. 28 personal fouls committed by Guandong Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American point guard Eugene German (183-1997, college: NIU) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international center Qi Zhou (217-1996) helped adding 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Ducks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Trevelin Queen (197-1997, college: NM State) with 25 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Mingxuan Hu (191-1998) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
