Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Loong Lions' 26. They outrebounded Loong Lions 44-24 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Jared Sullinger (206-1992, college: Ohio St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. The former international point guard Mingxuan Hu (191-1998) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. Four Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. American Justin Holiday (198-1989, college: Washington) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian guard Lindell Wigginton (185-1998, college: Iowa St.) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
