Official Notice from FIBA- April 12, 2026
POSTED BY: Robert
FIBA wishes to inform all national federations, clubs, players, agents, and members of the global basketball community of a serious matter concerning an individual identified as Kadeim Jones. This individual has presented himself as facilitating visa arrangements for travel to the People’s Republic of China. FIBA has been made aware that documents issued through this individual have been deemed fraudulent by the relevant Chinese authorities. Following inquiries, the individual has become unreachable, and there are indications that he may have relocated outside of his previous area of operation. Reports also indicate that several agents and players from multiple countries have been affected. FIBA strongly urges all stakeholders to exercise extreme caution when engaging with third parties offering visa, contractual, or travel-related services. All such arrangements should be verified directly through official government channels or recognized institutions. If you have been contacted by this individual or have experienced a similar situation, we strongly recommend reporting the matter to the appropriate local and international authorities without delay. This notice should be shared widely within the basketball community to help prevent further incidents and to protect all participants in the sport. FIBA is taking this matter very seriously. The individual concerned will be subject to a five-year ban from all FIBA-related activities.
