Melbourne inks Shuyu Yang, ex Guangdong

Shuyu Yang

Melbourne Tigers(NBL One) agreed terms with 24-year old Chinese international forward Shuyu Yang (182cm-70kg-2002). She just played at Guangdong in Chinese WCBA. She has played there for the last three years. Good season as she was named League Player of the Week.
Yang has been a member of the Chinese international program for several years. She has played for the Chinese senior team since 2023 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2018.
Yang also represented China at the FIBA Asia Cup for Women in Shenzhen (China) last year. Her team won Bronze and she averaged over 11 points per game.
She has also played in Mongolia.
She won the WBLA championship title in 2025 and was voted to the Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Honorable Mention in the same year.
