Hefei made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Hefei outrebounded Hunan 41-21 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American point guard Nate Johnson (193-1998, college: Xavier) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Brandon McCoy (213-1998, college: UNLV, agency: MSG) helped adding 15 points and 13 rebounds. Five Hefei players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Yuheng Tian (194-1996) with 18 points and American Stanton Kidd (202-1992, college: Colorado St., agency: JCK Sports Group) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Shanghai - Shandong 90-87

Strangely Shandong outrebounded Shanghai 52-38 including 19 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Shandong helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for guard Marcus LoVett Jr (183-1996, college: St.John's, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Shemar Wilson (206-2001, college: UT Arlington) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Hasahn French (201-1998, college: St.Louis) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Loren Jackson (170-1996, college: Akron) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Shandong. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
