Jewell Loyd is a newcomer at Shaanxi

Shaanxi Red Wolves (WCBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old USA ex-international 180cm point guard Jewell Loyd (college: Notre Dame). She played most recently at LV Aces (WNBA). In 56 games she recorded 10.8ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg last season. She helped them to win the league title (twice) despite they ended the regular season at the second place.
In 2015 Seattle Storm voted her as first overall pick in WNBA draft.
The former University of Notre Dame star is in her eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Loyd was also a member of the USA international program for some years. She played for USA Senior National Team between 2016 and 2024 and previously for the Under 17 National Team back in 2010.
Loyd also represented USA at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. Loyd's team won Gold and she had over 3 points per game.
She is a very experienced player. Thanks to her pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in four different countries. Loyd has played professionally in Korea (BNK Sum), Spain (Avenida), Turkey (Botas and Galatasaray) and China (Flame).
Among many awards she was selected Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Guard of the Year back in 2019.
