Beijing Great Wall (WCBA) agreed terms with 23-year old Australian international guard Jade Melbourne (178cm-2002, college: Arizona State). She started the season at Canberra Capitals in Australian WNBL. In 18 games she had 11.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 5.9apg and 1.8spg.
In 2022, she was selected by the Seattle Storm (WNBA) in the third round (33rd overall) of the draft.
She attended Arizona State and is in her fourth season in pro basketball.
Melbourne has been a part of the Australian international program for several years. She has played for the Australian senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2021.
Melbourne also represented Australia at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. Melbourne's team won Bronze and she averaged 7 points per game.
She has also played professionally in the WNBA (Washington Mystics).
Among many awards, her team made it to the League Semifinals in 2022. Melbourne was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian WNBL Youth Player of the Year in 2024.
