American point guard Ariel Atkins (178-1996, college: Texas) fired 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International forward Luo Xinyu (187-2001) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Wenxia Li (184-2004) produced 30 points and 7 rebounds and the former international power forward Mingling Chen (192-2000) added 14 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side.

Shanxi - Wuhan 93-58

Flame dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to hengfan's 26 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded hengfan 53-27 including a 22-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Flame looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by hengfan's players. American forward Shakira Austin (196-1999, college: Ole Miss) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and her fellow American import center Kalani Brown (201-1997, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 31 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). At the losing side forward Shang Shang (176-2002) responded with 9 points and guard Yihua Li (164-2002) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Yuanda dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Swordfish's 40. They outrebounded Swordfish 47-30 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yuanda looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Swordfish's players. Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (205-1991) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American forward Natasha Howard (188-1991, college: FSU, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five Yuanda players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Ruthy Hebard (192-1998, college: Oregon) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and center Yutong Liu (201-2001) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Magic Deer players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Wu Tongtong (176-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 assists. Australian power forward Zitina Aokuso (193-1998) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Maya Caldwell (180-1998, college: Georgia) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Junwei Cao (182-1995) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sports Lottery. Five Magic Deer and four Sports Lottery players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
