Sichuan adds Ogunbowale to their roster

Sichuan Yuanda Meile Basketball Club (WCBA) added to their roster 29-year old USA ex-international point guard Arike Ogunbowale (173cm-1997, college: Notre Dame). She has played for the last three seasons at Dallas Wings (WNBA). In 29 games she recorded very impressive stats: 15.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.1apg and 1.3spg last season.
In 2019 she was drafted by Dallas Wings (WNBA) as #5 pick overall.
The former University of Notre Dame star is in her seventh season in pro basketball.
She was also a member of the USA international program for some years. Ogunbowale played for USA Senior National Team back in 2019 and previously for the Under 16 National Team in 2013.
She has played professionally in Russia (Dynamo Kursk) and Turkey (Ormanspor).
Among many awards Ogunbowale's team made it to the WNBA Semifinals in 2023. Ogunbowale was also Eurobasket.com Russian PBL All-Tournament Team and Eurobasket.com All-Europe Shooting Guard of the Year back in 2021.
