Jiangsu tabs Alexandra Fowler, ex Townsville

Alexandra Fowler

Jiangsu Yonglian Nanjing (WCBA) signed 24-year-old Australian international 180cm forward Alexandra Fowler (college: Portland). She began the season with Townsville Fire in the Australian WNBL, where she averaged 10.8ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.1apg, and 1.1spg in 28 games, helping them win the League title. Fowler was named to the Australiabasket.com All-Australian League Second Team. Last summer, she played for the Hawks (NBL One) in Australia, putting up impressive stats of 21.9ppg, 8.1rpg, 2.8apg, 1.5spg, and 1.0bpg in 15 games, leading her team to the Australian League final.
Fowler has been a member of the Australian international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Australian senior team since 2025 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2019.
Fowler also represented Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup for Women in Shenzhen (China) last year. Her team won Gold and she averaged almost 12 points per game.
She has also played professionally with the Canberra Capitals.
She was selected as the All-WCC Newcomer of the Year in 2020.
Fowler graduated from the University of Portland in 2023 and is currently in her third season in pro basketball.
