Chriss' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old American power forward Marquese Chriss (206-PF-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Shandong Heroes and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 32.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed Tianjin P. (#18, 9-19) with 24-point margin 115-91. Heroes maintains the 4th position in Chinese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shandong H. will need more victories to improve their 18-9 record. It's Chriss' second year at Heroes and it's hard to imagine this team without him. The University of Washington graduate has very impressive stats this year. Chriss is in league's top in points (9th best: 20.5ppg) and averages solid 50.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Yang Zou (198-F-2000) of Fujian Sturgeons. He is a forward in his 3rd season at Fujian S.. In the last game Zou recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Sturgeons to edge the higher-ranked Beijing D. (#5, 18-10) by 5 points 109-104. Despite this victory Fujian S. slide down in the standings to 16th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-17 record. Zou is one of the most experienced players at Fujian S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Shandong H.'s star - guard Shiyan Gao (186-PG-1996). Gao showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Shandong Heroes, helping his team with a 115-91 easy win against the lower-ranked Tianjin P. (#18, 9-19). Heroes needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 9 lost games. Gao has a very solid season. In 25 games in China he scored 8.4ppg.
