American Point guard QJ Peterson (183-PG-1994, agency: JCK Sports Group) had a very impressive game in the last round for Fujian Sturgeons, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (42 points, seven rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Nanjing MK (#17, 10-17) 95-81. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Sturgeons maintains the 15th position in Chinese CBA. Fujian S. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-16 record. In the team's last game Peterson had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sturgeons, being already a very valuable addition to the team. QJ Peterson averages this season 30.8ppg and 5.0apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Terquavion Smith (193-G-2002) of Shenzhen Leopards. Smith had a very good evening with 36 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Leopards to edge the lower-ranked Guangzhou LL (#16, 10-16) 97-96. Shenzhen L.'s 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 16-11 record is not bad and everything may still change. Smith is a newcomer at Shenzhen L., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.6ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.6rpg and 4.8apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward D.J. Wilson (208-F-1996) of Jilin Northeast Tigers (#13). Wilson showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 21 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Jilin Tigers, leading his team to a 96-90 win against slightly higher-ranked Shanxi L. (#11, 14-13). The chances of Jilin NE T. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 16 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Wilson could help Jilin NE T. to bring them higher in the standings. Wilson has a great season in China. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.2rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.3bpg, a FGP of 50.2% and 3PT: 42.0%.
