Chinese NBL round 19 best performance: Michael Holyfield (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Michael Holyfield (211-C-1992) had a great game in the last round for Shandong Honey Badger, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 20 rebounds, while his team edged out Hunan (#3, 12-6) 84-83. Shandong is placed at 7th position in Chinese NBL. Shandong is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-9 record. Holyfield just recently signed at Shandong, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Sam Houston State University star has very solid stats this year. Holyfield is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 12.6rpg) and averages impressive 1.2bpg and 60.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Dischon Thomas (206-F-2000, agency: JCK Sports Group) of Jiaozuo Cultural Tourism. Thomas had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Jiaozuo was edged by the higher-ranked Shanghai (#4, 11-7) 86-82. Jiaozuo managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-10 record. Thomas is one of the most experienced players at Jiaozuo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Czech Republic center Ondrej Balvin (217-C-1992, agency: Octagon Europe) of league's top team HK JinNiu. Balvin scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of HK JinNiu, leading his team to a 102-85 easy win against the lower-ranked Anhui W. (#11, 7-11). HK JinNiu confirms their top position in the standings. Balvin has a very solid season. In 17 games in China he scored 10.3ppg. He also has 7.1rpg and a FGP of 68.9%.

8. Jordan Walker (186-PG-1997) of Hefei - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-C-1994) of Hebei - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jinlang Weng (196-G-2004) of Hebei - 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
