Chinese WCBA round 22 best performance: Te'a Cooper (by Hoops Agents)

American Point guard Te'a Cooper (173-PG-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Liaoning Henye, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (39 points, two rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Fujian Z. (#5, 3-17) with 18-point margin 100-82. Liaoning Hengye maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Chinese WCBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Liaoning will need more victories to improve their 13-7 record. In the team's last game Cooper had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Liaoning Hengye's top player in her first season with the team. Former Baylor University star has very solid stats this year. Cooper is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.1ppg) and averages impressive 56.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Chennedy Carter (175-PG-1998) of Shanghai Baoshan Dahua Swordfish. Carter had a very good evening with a double-double of 43 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Swordfish was edged by slightly higher-ranked Xinjiang (#4, 14-8) 98-95. This loss caused Shanghai to drop to 6th position in Group A. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 13-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Carter is a newcomer at Shanghai, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 33.1ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 6.5rpg and 5.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Liaoning's star - American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (185-F-1996). Hines-Allen showcased her all-around game by recording 24 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Liaoning Henye, helping her team with a 100-82 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Fujian Z. (#5, 3-17). Liaoning Hengye needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group B. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 7 lost games. Hines-Allen has a great season in China. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.6rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 7.2apg (2nd best). She also has 2.1spg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 58.1%.
