Chinese NBL round 15 best performance: Niven Glover (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Niven Glover (196-G-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for Jiangxi Ganchi, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 25-year old player tried to help (53 points, five rebounds and four assists) his team in a lost game to Jiangsu (#7, 7-7) 89-100. Jiangxi maintains the 3rd position in Chinese NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Jiangxi will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 10-5 record. In the team's last game Glover had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Jiangxi's top player in his first season with the team. Niven Glover has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.8ppg. Glover is in league's top in assists (9th best: 4.2apg) and averages impressive 59.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Robert Upshaw (213-C-1994) of Jiangsu Yannan Suke. Upshaw had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds. Of course Jiangsu cruised to a 100-89 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Jiangxi (#3, 10-5). This victory allowed Jiangsu to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Upshaw is one of the most experienced players at Jiangsu and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#4). He also registered 12.6 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Brandon McCoy (213-F-1998, agency: MSG) of league's second-best Hefei Kuangfeng. McCoy scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Hefei, leading his team to a 88-84 win against the lower-ranked Anhui W. (#10, 6-9). Hefei needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 4 lost games. McCoy has a great season in China. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.9rpg (5th best). He also has 2.3bpg and a FGP of 60.5%.
