Carter's 36-point game gives her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old American point guard Chennedy Carter (175-PG-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Shanghai Baoshan Dahua Swordfish and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
She had the game-high 36 points adding four rebounds and nine assists for Shanghai in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Jiangsu (#5, 11-7) with 27-point margin 94-67. Swordfish maintains the 6th position in their group in the Chinese WCBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shanghai will need more victories to improve their 10-7 record. Carter turned to be Swordfish's top player in her first season with the team. Texas A&M University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Carter is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.5ppg. Carter is in league's top in assists (9th best: 4.6apg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 54.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Shelby Cheslek (196-C-1992, agency: LBM Management) of Xiamen Egrets. She is American center in her first season at Xiamen. In the last game Cheslek recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Xiamen to another comfortable win 93-74 over slightly lower-ranked Ganzhou (#6, 1-16) being unquestionably team leader. Xiamen's 4th position in Group B has not changed. Her team's 10-7 record is not bad at all. Cheslek is a newcomer at Xiamen and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jaime Nared (188-G-1995) of league's leader Hefei. Nared showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Hefei, leading her team to a 123-80 easy win against #3 ranked Liaoning in a game of the week. Hefei confirms their top position in Group B. Nared has a great season in China. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.6ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 8.8rpg (8th best).
